What´s DHT?

DHT, or dihydrotestosterone, is a hormone derived from testosterone, the primary male sex hormone. It plays a crucial role during puberty in the development of male characteristics, such as facial hair and a deep voice. While DHT is essential for normal bodily functions, it can also have adverse effects on hair follicles, leading to hair loss.

DHT plays a significant role in hair loss by shrinking hair follicles and weakening hair strands. Understanding how DHT affects hair growth has led to the development of medications to address this issue. Taking proactive measures and finding a balance in DHT management can help slow down hair loss and maintain healthy hair growth in the long run.
